To fulfill the vision he received from the Lord he set up Peace Trust, a registered charitable trust has been working with the socially and economically poor, vulnerable people paying special attention to people with lifestyle-related, congenital disorders, stigmatized diseases and addictions, in 1997. Some of his activities are providing free medical camps, HIV/AIDS prevention, Care & Support programs among the general community, PLHIV, MSM, and FSW, Cancer patients, and Hemophiliacs, a rare bleeding disorder.
“Fight the good fight with all thy might, Christ is thy strength and Christ thy right, Lay hold on life and it shall be thy joy and crown eternally…” motivated by this, a Ministry, with a family or two was carried out in the remote village areas of Vellankuli, Peramani, and surrounding areas, about 10 years ago. This small beginning blessed by the Spirit of the Lord has grown into larger propositions. These programs are carried out through Peace Trust. Peace Trust is now one of the leading voluntary organizations in Tirunelveli District.
His dream is to help people find true faith, transcend the love of God through a meaningful and holistic approach, to convey, bestow, sacrifice, heal and live it out for others, to have a community living in total harmony without any prejudices cast or religious feelings and to build a strong and vibrant nation through our youth. The Lord also helped him to fulfill his dream, to own a Super Specialty Secondary Level Hospital called Peace Health Centre, a 40-bedded Secondary Level Specialty Hospital which was established in 2003. Dr. R. Anburajan, Founder & Chairman of the Peace Health Centre, has been not only taking strenuous efforts in providing utmost medical care through Peace Health Centre but also has been in the service of creating awareness about the health hazards through the media, Medical Encampments, Awareness Rallies, so on and so forth.
He has also held various other prestigious roles such as State Treasurer – Nursing Home Board; Vice President (South Zone) – Indian Medical Association (Tamil Nadu); Vice President – Indian Medical Association (Tirunelveli Branch); Regional Council Chairman (South) – Hemophilia Federation(India); Chairman – Indian Medical Association Paramedical wing (Tamil Nadu); National Asst. Secretary – Indian Medical Association College of General Practitioners. He was also honored with the prestigious “Rashtriya Ekta” National Award for Communal Harmony by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi, in 1998.
He is currently holding a position as a Regional Secretary for Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Region, in Christian Medical Association of India an organization bringing Christian healthcare professionals and Institutions involved in health, healing, and wholeness on a common platform. Also, he is holding a position as President of Indian Medical Association, Tirunelveli. Recently, he has been nominated as Nodal Officer for the task related to COVID -19 management, and to liaison with private hospitals in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, to ensure correct and timely updating of data related to COVID cases. He is also an Executive Trustee in Jesus Redeems Ministries and through his spiritual insight and administrative skills he is very much helpful to the Ministry.
Dr. R. Anburajan currently resides in Tirunelveli with his wife Beulah Angeline who is a Headmistress in a Residential School meant for poor, semi orphan and orphan children. They are blessed with a Son, doing his MD in General Medicine in Pondicherry State and a Daughter doing her final year MBBS in a Mission Hospital, Trivandrum.
