Professional Experience
With regard to my professional experience, from the year 2001 to 2003, I worked with Rural Innovations Network (Now its Villgro Innovations Foundation) as Project Manager, from 2003 to 2005, I worked as Program Manager for a USAID-FHI funded Holistic Care and Support Program on HIV and AIDS in Namakkal District, later in 2006, I worked as Project Officer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children with World Vision India monitoring projects in South India and from 2006 to 2008, I worked as a consultant with UNDP in a project that empowers women living with HIV and AIDS in socio-economic development. From 2007 onwards I founded Buds of Christ Charitable Trust and dedicated most of my time in building the lives of orphaned children affected by HIV and AIDS in Namakkal district.

Government Service
In the year 2012, I got an opportunity to serve as Member of District Child Welfare Committee in Namakkal, that function under the Dept. of Social Defense, Tamilnadu Government and continue as a honorary Member of CWC. This has helped me to support and serve many child focused organizations that run orphanages in the district to adhere to Juvenile Justice Act 2015 guidelines and also overcome the challenges in receiving the certification of registration for orphanages under JJ Act, further I also helped hundreds of most vulnerable children who are in need for the care, protection and rehabilitation in the district. From January 2018 onwards, I am serving as a Member of Local Complaints Committee – Namakkal District under the Sexual Harrassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redresssal) Act.

Association with EduCare
In my past 18 years of grassroots service with orphan children and adolescents, one of the major gap that I found was the lack of guidance, encouragement and financial support that hindered many young people to excel in their life and career. At this juncture, Joseph Manoharan Anna spoke to me about EduCare’s vision to empower and support most deserving students in Tamilnadu to serve the country and state in different capacities in civil services. This is a most relevant and needy program in empowering most deserving student community to elevate and empower them towards a prosperous nation building exercise. I am very delighted and happy to be part of EduCare Team to share my skills, expertise and experience in empowering young people.
